Founded by Satinder Garcha in 2002, the resident polo team of the Jaipur Riding and Polo Club, previously named Zara, is currently being coached by "Podger" EL-Effendi, a former 8-goaler who played competitively in the US. Most recently, Podger was coach of the Pakistani national team that made it to the World Cup Finals in Chantilly, France.

With the team motto, "Never Say Die," this group of committed polo players has been very active in its three years of existence. To date, it has participated in various tournaments across England, Spain, Singapore, and India. In its first year, Zara played16 tournaments, of which they won 5 and made it to the finals of 9.. Whether they are in tournaments or one of their training sessions or playing in friendlies against visitors at the club, the players conduct themselves with great professionalism and drive, making each victory a sweet and well-deserved one.

Besides the men's team, the Club also boasts a formidable ladies team that has participated in numerous tournaments and friendlies across many countries.
